Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) Video — Not Done: Women’s Constitutional Equality

The Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) was passed by Congress in 1972. As of 2020 it had been ratified by 38 states — the number required for ratification. But legal disputes over the timetable for ratification, along with efforts by some states to rescind their existing ratification, have delayed its passage into law.
